[设计意图] 关于锻炼的卡通动画，生动有趣，吸引学生眼球，提升学习英语兴趣，同时紧紧围绕本课“锻炼”这一主题展开，为后文的学习做铺垫。

通过对观看卡通动画片，回答问题，引出关于运动、锻炼的相关词汇，自然地谈论到What is exercise？的话题。

[设计意图]设计一系列的活动，目的就是为了让学生清楚地认识什么是锻炼，并能用英语正确的表达。此部分不拘限于课本所罗列的四个动作，巩固新知复习旧知。此外这部分我做了拓展添加了进来，拓展了知识面，

本课围绕exercise锻炼这一话题展开，此话题贴近学生的实际生活，针对这一点，我从生活入手，做到了以下几点：
一、教学内容循序渐进
首先在导入环节，通过一段生动形象的小动画片，来揭示本课课题，并与学生一起讨论“What is exercise?”教师先通过一些图片给学生以提示，之后再让学生思考“What else is exercise?”教学难度不断加大，让不同水平的学生都得到有效的提高。
在与学生讨论exercise 这个话题时，通过学生的旧知引出新知，由“How often do you exercise?”自然过渡到“How many minutes do you exercise?”并在小组活动中让学生两人一组互问互答，达到了使用所学语言做事情的目的。
二、听说领先，读写跟上
高年级英语教学在训练学生听、说的基础上，应逐步培养学生独立思考，读和写的能力。在本节课为了训练学生的听力和捕捉有效信息的能力，训练了学生写的能力。
