The success of franchising is demonstrated by the fact that it accounts for more than one-third of all U.S. retailing. Equally important is the demonstrated performance of the top franchise companies, which consistently outperform the Standard & Poor's 500. Franchising shares profits, risk, and strategic implementation between the franchisor and the franchisee. Unique aspects of franchising as entrepreneurship are the wide spectrum of opportunity that exists and the matching of scale to appetite for a broad spectrum of entrepreneurs. Two tools have been provided in this chapter to help the entrepreneur. For those interested in creating a franchise, the franchise relationship model articulates the dynamic construction of the franchisor franchisee alliance. 海尔集团的跨国发展战略 1.产品出口与海外投资状况 可以说,即使在企业发展的初期阶段,作为十分具有超前意识的企业家,张瑞敏就在为企业向国际市场发展,进行准备工作。在他到青岛电冰箱总厂仅4年后,当产品在国内小有名气之时,他便将企业发展的视野扩大到海外。出口创汇是必要的,但只是目的之一,另一目的就是要在国际上创造驰名品牌。 (l)出口经营状况 从1986年青岛电冰箱总厂第一次出口产品并取得3O0万美元出口额这一不俗战绩算起,海尔集团的出口额逐年增加。尽管从1997年起爆发了东南亚金融危机,中国企业出口受阻,但真正类似海尔产品这样的高附加值的产品受影响并不大,而且由于海尔集团出口的重点是在欧美,因此,它的出口继续保持增长势头。1998年,海尔出口创汇达到7675万美元,比1997年增长了36%。 出口的主要品种为冰箱、洗衣机、冷柜等。 在出口地区的分布上,基本上,欧美国家占6O%,日本占20%,东南亚占16%,其他地区占4%,共计87个国家(地区)。出口到欧美国家的以冰箱、空调为主,其中在美国18O升以下冰箱市场份额中,海尔冰箱占到2O%。 截止到1998年年底,海尔集团的海外经销商共有49家,经销网点11004多个。 (2)海外投资状况 海尔集团从1995年起,就着手在海外投资建厂。经过洽淡和协商,终于在1996年2月6日,在印尼雅加达建立了海尔在海外的第一家以生产电冰箱为主的合资生产企业—一海尔莎保罗(印度尼西亚)有限公司(PT.Haier Sapporo Indonesia)。它标志着海尔集团的国际化迈出了重

汇丰银行的海外发展战略 李刚 作者简介:李刚,中国社会科学院数量经济与技术经济系博士研究生。 一、汇丰海外战略形成与发展机制 (一)汇丰“本土”与“海外”地区的界定 2012年末,汇丰控股在全球81个国家和地区拥有6600家左右的子机构,覆盖欧洲、亚太、美洲、中东与非洲等地区。不过,与其他银行不同的是,如何界定汇丰“本土”与“海外”地区一直存在争议。在2012年报中,汇丰明确将伦敦与香港作为总部,并选出了20个国家和地区(亚洲8个,欧洲4个,中东与非洲3个,北美2个,拉美3个)作为优先发展的成长型市场,这22个地区在集团的税前收入占比合计超过90%,也是汇丰的主要资本聚集地。因此,我们将英国和香港界定为该行的“本土”经营地,其他地区为“海外”经营地。 (二)汇丰组织结构的发展历程 2000年至今,汇丰控股(下称“集团”)保持矩阵制组织架构。十几年间,集团不断调整、完善组织结构,力争实现经营效率最大化。 图1:2011年以来的集团组织结构 资料来源:汇丰控股年报。 汇丰早期的组织结构是以业务线为主、地区管理为辅的二维矩阵制,后期是以集团、子公司(业务条线、经营区域)和职能构成的三维矩阵制。在演变过程中,汇丰着重于三方面工作:一是明确集团的主要职能;二是整合子公司下属业务条线,业务部门划分从以产品为基础转变为以客户群为基础;三是完善和推广

中国银行业海外发展战略的思考 经济全球化与金融一体化已成为不可逆转的时代潮流,银行的国际化也成为银行业发展的必然趋势。随着中国经济的进一步对外开放和金融体制改革的深入,中国银行业面临参与国际竞争的外在压力和实现全球化的内在要求。同时,国内外经济金融面临的形势又十分复杂,国际金融危机影响仍然存在,中国银行业在海外经营发展面临的困难和全球性挑战压力明显加大。 在当前新形势下,如何审时度势,科学地、积极稳妥地制定适合自身的海外发展战略,是摆在我国银行高管层的重要课题。 一、海外机构 (一)海外机构的概念 从经营管理方式来看,海外机构是泛指我国香港、澳门和国外或地区所有的分支机构的整体概念。只有对海外机构的概念界定清晰,才能制定相应的整体海外发展战略。 (二)我国银行业的海外发展 由于历史和业务发展的原因,中国银行是目前国内银行中最国际化的商业银行。 1929年,中国银行在伦敦设立中国金融业第一家海外分行。此后在世界各大金融中心相继开设分支机构,截至2008年底,中国银行已在全球29个国家和地区建立800多家分支机构,并与1500家国外代理行及47,000家分支机构保持了代理业务关系。2009年上半年,充分依托集团整体优势,进一步加强海内外业务联动,全力满足国内“走
