六、Teaching steps
Step 1 Warm up
1)Say hello to the students.
2)Play a game:Look and say(review twelve numbers)
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1)Use the numbers to show a clock,ask Ss :“What time is it ? ”S1:“It’s eight o’clock”.
2) a)T:It’s time for class.Are you ready for class? Help Ss answer:Yes,I’m ready.
b)Let Ss ask me:“Are you ready for class?” T:Not yet,I’m a little worried. (Teach “Not yet.”)
3) Introduce my day to the Ss,teach the phrase:brush my teeth and some time expressions :a quarter past six、a quarter to seven、ten to five、half past nine.
4)Show the picture of David and reveal the subject:A busy day.
5)Show the question:How busy is David?Then let Ss listen to the sound recording and fill in the blanks.
6) a) First introduce David’s morning, watch the cartoon and finish :Listen and choose.
b) Read after the sound recording;
c) Practice this part.
7) a)Introduce David’s afternoon, watch the cartoon and finish :True or false.
b) Read after the sound recording;
c) Practice the second part.
8) a)Introduce David’s night, watch the cartoon and answer two questions.

Step 3 Consolidation
1)Read Part A and help David finish his diary.
2) Ask Ss to write about their days.
3) Show some proverbs to the Ss , tell them study hard and make great progress every day!
Step 4 Homework
1.Read part A three times;
2. Write a passage named《My busy day》;
3.Preview part BC&D.
