Nowadays many young people inwork force change their jobs or careers every few years. What do you think arethe reasons for this? Do the advantages out-weight disadvantages?

Theconstant change of the world has led to the alteration in terms of people’sjobs and occupation life. The multi-career even gains increasing popularityamong Young adults. From the in-depth observation, this trend is triggered bothby the technology innovation and work philosophy hold by the new generation.

Inthe first place, social developments have brought about a more flexible workstyle. It will be really demanding to imagine any point of getting retired fromthe place where their career got initiated.

Instead, they are more eager to trynew things and gain fresh experience from frequent job-hopping, from whichtheir life could be made more colorful and diversified. Specifically, the rapidprogress of internet and transport technology makes it possible for people to possessa high degree of mobility. In other words, we are not confined to working inoneplace as we did in the past. Indeed it is not a rarity that we havebreakfast in Tokyo but conference punctually in the afternoon in Beijing.

Inthe second place, another imperative motivation to the changing jobs or careersderives from the attitudes towards money and life. In most cases, change theirjobs for higher salary as long as striving forward forever is the most acceptedoccupational principles. As for the employees in the poor welfare countries, ifone can get a more appealing offer from some other employer, what is the pointof staying in the original one.

Onlyby job-hopping, people may form a more precise and mature attitudes towards thecareer and thus not being carried away by this ever-changing fickle world. Althoughjob-hopping can be partly attributed to temporary confusing and perplexing, itis mainly heading for a highly mobilized and high-qualified lifestyle which canbe accomplished by marketing and commercial methods.

Asfor companies, they can benefit a lot as well. Frequent

job-hopping byemployees indicates the incompetence in the corporation welfare. ThereforeCompanies should take up an inescapable responsibility through providing alltheir employers with a clear and transparent ladder of promotion, training injob ethics and a sense of responsibility, as well as sufficient benefits inorder to alleviate employee’s impulse s of leaving. By doing so, corporationshave achieved high competence in marketing through continuous adjustment.

Many children find it isdifficult to concentrate or pay attention at school. What are the causes? Thepossible solutions to this problems?

Theteenagers on the campus today could nearly capture the latest news timely asthose off-campus adults do. It means that they are able to freely connect theirfriends and relatives through modern communication devices and Internet. However, they are inferior to adults to rationally evaluate the extensiveinformation, incapable of defending the intentional distraction from the junkinformation. Therefore they are vulnerable to be distracted.

Theculprits of the unexpected phenomenon mainly derived from the over-popularityof internet. In past times, even just 5 to 10 years ago, without Wi-Fi ormobile phones, students were relatively isolated on campus. They even watchedfew TV. Students were not capable to achieve the off-campus information or tocommunicate with their net-friends. In addition, the teachers at that timeseemed more focused on supervising and monitoring their students. Hence, theonly entertainment activity for the old times teenagers were restrictedly toread extra-curricular books.

Anothermain reason in this regard lies in the performance of modern mass media whileits perspective on criteria of a good student remains not merely on achievingexcellent academic scores, but on turning into more diversified and colorfulextracurricular lives, such as what was shown in Gossip Girl or the Big BangTheory.

Besides, the morality of mass media is now unexpectedly eroding a lot.It promotes those distorted life styles on students intentionally, aiming toimproving their circulation rate instead.

Thereare, probably, several answers to this thorny issue. To start with educational institutesand teaching staff should be more actively aware of the negatives and thuseffectively cut off or limit the chances for students to have access to thedigital devices too arbitrarily especially during the lecturing. Meanwhile, mass media need to be more socially responsible and educational institutesshould limit the access to particular web pages of teenagers in the technicalway, such as You-tube or other SNS (social network service) websitesselectively close some channels to those youth under 18.

The international communityshould act immediately to reduce theuse of fossil fuels. Do you agree ordisagree?

As the industry is more andmore expanding and booming, the fossil fuels like coal, gas, mine are less andless, leaving the progressively worsening environment problems. Undoubtedly, the international communities uniting the related governments can never refraintheir obligation to restrict the over-developed use of these fuels, so as toprotect the environment on the root basis.

Whenit comes to the immediate block out or sudden reduction to the fossil fuels, perspectives from the fuel plants, local governments, regular in habitantsdiffer greatly. As to those fuel-reliant plants, they definitely show great unwillingn

Why do some parents give their children money to spend each week? 1 I guess one important reason is that giving children some pocket money can help them to learn how to use money reasonably. For example, children might learn that if they spend all their pocket money on snacks, they would be unable to pay for their favourite toys. Teaching children how to manage their budget and how to save up for something they want might be one of the reasons why parents do this. 2 In my personal view, parents tend to give money to their children each week because they hope their kids can buy something they want. For example, when they walk home after school, they can buy ice cream to eat in a hot summer day, or they can pay for their bus or metro ticket by using their pocket money. 2. Do you agree that schools should teach children how to manage money? 1 Oh, definitely. If schools can provide courses on how to manage pocket money, children would be more likely to develop appropriate buying habits. For example, if they see something they like very much but cannot afford, they would know they need to save up for it. Instead of living on a tight budget, it is always best to have some money put by for a rainy day. 2 No, I don't think its necessary. Parents are best teachers to teach children how to manage their own finance. For example, when parents bring their children to a supermarket, they can tell kids how to compare prices, how to use discounts available when buying chocolates and chips. Compared with learning how to save money in school, acquiring money management skills in real life can be much easier and more rewarding. 3. Do you think it is a good idea for students to earn money while studying? 1 Not really. Studying is the top priority for students, especially for full-time students. Finding part-time jobs with the purpose of earning money may influence their studies negatively. For example, if there is a time conflict between their part-time

剑10 1-2 It is important for children to learn the difference between right and wrong at an early age. Punishment is necessary to help them learn this distinction. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion? What sort of punishment should parents and teachers be allowed to use to teach good behavior to children? One important stage in a child’s growth is certainly the development of a conscience, which is linked to the ability to tell right from wrong. This skill comes with time and good parenting, and my firm conviction is that punishment does not have much of a role to play in this. Therefore I have to disagree almost entirely with the given statement. To some extent the question depends on the age of the child. To punish a very young child is both wrong and foolish, as an infant will not understand what is happening or why he or she is being punished. Once the age of reason is reached however, a child can be rewarded for good behavior and discouraged from bad. This kind but firm approach will achieve more than harsh punishments, which might entail many negative consequences unintended by the parents. To help a child learn the difference between right and wrong, teachers and parents should firstly provide good role modelling in their own behavior. After that, if sanctions are needed, the punishment should not be of a physical nature, as that merely sends the message that it is acceptable for larger people to hit smaller ones-an outcome which may well result in the child starting to bully others. Nor should the punishment be in any way cruel.

In the developed world, average life expectancy is increasing. What problems will this cause for individuals and society? Suggest some measures that could be taken to reduce the impact of ageing populations. It is true that people in industrialised nations can expect to live longer than ever before. Although there will undoubtedly be some negative consequences of this trend, societies can take steps to mitigate these potential problems. As people live longer and the populations of developed countries grow older, several related problems can be anticipated. The main issue is that there will obviously be more people of retirement age who will be eligible to receive a pension. The proportion of younger, working adults will be smaller, and governments will therefore receive less money in taxes in relation to the size of the population. In other words, an ageing population will mean a greater tax burden for working adults. Further pressures will include a rise in the demand for healthcare, and the fact young adults will increasingly have to look after their elderly relatives. There are several actions that governments could take to solve the problems described above. Firstly, a simple solution would be to increase the retirement age for working adults, perhaps from 65 to 70. Nowadays, people of this age tend to be healthy enough to continue a productive working life. A second measure would be for governments to encourage immigration in order to increase the number of working adults who pay taxes. Finally, money from national budgets will need to be taken from other areas and spent on vital healthcare, accommodation and transport facilities for the rising numbers of older citizens. In conclusion, various measures can be taken to tackle the problems that are certain to arise as the populations of countries grow older. (265 words, band 9)

Governments are finding it difficult to balance the health care budget. Should citizens be totally responsible for their own health costs and take out private health insurance, or is it better to have a comprehensive health care system which provides free health services for all? Discuss. Model Answer: A much debated issue these days is whether citizens should take out private health insurance or not. The cost of providing free medical care for both the wealthy and the poor is far too great for any government, and most people agree that if you can pay for insurance, you should. In this essay, I will argue that all who can afford it should be insured, but free medical care must be made available for those too poor to do so. The most important reason for encouraging people to take out private health insurance is the cost to the government of health care.

Write a report for a university teacher describing the information shown.

Sample Answer: The provided line graphs compare the employment history of men and women in 1975 and 1995 dividing in six major sectors namely: manufacturing, communications, finance/ banking, wholesale & retail trade, non-defence public sectors and defence public sectors. As is observed from the given illustration, significant changes have been made in women's employment and women appear to have made remarkable improvements in almost the entire job sectors in Freedonia and in some sectors women went well ahead of men. Initially in 1975, men were notably ahead of women in every sector of employment. For example, in communication sector about 260 men worked against 220 women in every thousand employees. Twenty years later, though the number of men remained unchanged, the number of women rose to over 550 in one thousand. A similar trend can be seen in the wholesale and retail trade sector, where the number of women rose from about 550 to almost 800 in every 1000 employees of this sector two decades later. 8 P77 36 _______ would pose a serious problem of theory of evolution. NB Your answers may be given in any order. NB You may use any letter more than once NB You may use any letter more than once NB You may use any letter more than once
