1.复古主义思潮是指18世纪后半叶起到19世纪后期西方设计领域中所出现的设

计潮流,包括古典复兴、浪漫主义和折衷主义三种表现。

二、理解包豪斯的历史作用应该主要从两个方面,即①现代主义思想的建立、传播和设计实践的影响;②对现代设计艺术教育体系的建立上。具体如下:

①包豪斯创建了一整套的设计艺术教学方法和教学体系,给后来的工业设计科学体系的建立、发展奠定了基础,并对后来设计艺术领域,从平面设计到产品设计、建筑设计产生了深远影响,形成了后来的设计艺术教育的平面构成、立体构成、色彩的主体课程框架。

②设计实践真正实现了技术与艺术的统一,形成了真正理性主义设计原则,开创了面向现代工业的设计方法,填补了现代艺术与技术、手工艺与工业之间的鸿沟。

三、由于包豪斯所处的历史、政治、经济、社会等环境,本身必然存在历史的局限性。由于它过于重视构成主义理论,强调形式的简约,突出功能与材料的表现,忽视人对产品的心理需求,影响了人与产品之间的情感和谐,机械、呆板、缺乏人情味和历史感,因此受到“后现代主义”的批评。其次,虽然包豪斯是一个设计组织,但是其人员很复杂,特别是先锋派艺术家占了主导地位, “工艺”因素超过“技术”因素,产品设计往往停留在传统产品设计与研究上。对工业和传统工艺之间的关系,仍然带有一些乌托邦色彩,对时代技术条件、机械化批量生产的方式和经济概念趋向一种抽象的美学追求,而很少对实际生活需要进行考察。

总之,包豪斯的产生和发展对现代设计艺术的影响是巨大的,在一定程度上可以说没有包豪斯,就没有现代工业设计。
