Soon the club manager came over and ask ed him, “So, Peter, your wish was to win, right?” “Oh no, sir,” he replied. “I just wished that I wouldn’t cry if I lost.”

Some people criticize*… some people applaud… this is just showmen and

showwomen would get the comments from people and public media* .

For example, Xiao Shengyang who is a cameo* artist and known to every

family in China after showing up on CCTV channel at Sping Festival. His

performance* soon became a big argument from Chinese media to people. Some media criticize that Xiao Shengyang’s performance is just low-brow* culture and doesn’t have refined* taste. Of course, Xiao Shengyang’s peforrmance does not belong go high-brow culture. As we know the Peking Opera is the high-brow culture in China, but Peking Opera is not accepted* by many ordinary Chinese, especially for young Chinese. Xiao Shengyang’s art just belongs to the public in China. No wonder that Xiao Shengyang is a talent man and his performances make people laugh from time to time on TV, he did very well in his performances.

Now people are always feeling stressful at work and other things. Xiao Shengyang’s shows can make people feel relaxed after days’ hard work. That is the most important thing for Xiao Shengyang to become a successful performer in China, because his performances brought the happiness to many Chinese and make them laugh. Of course, every coin has its two sides, we cannot criticize all Xiao Shengyang’s performance. Two questions: How many Chinese are there enjoying high-brow culture like Peking Opera? How many Chinese are there enjoying Xiao Shengyang’s ar t? I believe people like Xiao Shengyang’s performance better than Peking Opera in the modern China.

Everyone has his taste towards art and things in this world. Sometimes we have to respect* these differences in life.

Dear editor,

I’m writing to tell you about the discussions on whether students of Junior Thre e should do sports or not. More than half of the students think we should exercise every day because health is the most important. You can do nothing without it. Sports and exercise can make us strong and energetic.

On the other hand,30% of us believe it a waste of time to take exercise. Also, it’s very tiring. After having sports, we are too excited to get down to our study. We may even get hurt in sports.

And I think it’s true that we should concentrate on the lessons, but sports make us relaxed and we can have a good sleep every night. They help us a lot in study.

Best wishes.

Yours,

Wang Ming
