大学英语四、六级考试自1987年开始实施以来各次考试的报道成绩都经过等值处理，使得历次考试报道成绩具有可比性，从而确保了考试的公平性。201X年12月考试开始采用“多题多卷”模式实施考试。“多题多卷”指在同一考场内采用内容不同的试题组成的多套试卷实施考试。多套试卷之间的难度差异对考生成绩的影响通过试卷之间的等值计算来得到平衡，因此考生的报道成绩不会因其所答试卷的不同而受影响。
