My sweet home

Hello! Everyone! I’m very pleased to be here. The topic of my speech is“My sweet home.”

With a cry of joy, I was born and came to the world. My parents looked at me again and again, so lovingly.

A year later, I began learning to walk. When I fell, it was mother and father who picked me up. When I was in trouble, it was also mother and father who helped me. Like every parents in the world, they gave food and clothes for me. They often told me some things about life, making me understand what was wrong and what was right.

But sometimes I didn’t understand my parents. I still remember an unhappy event in my childhood. Once, I played with some children. Among us, there was an older boy. I can’t remember what was happening. But I still remember clearly he gave me a hit first, then I hit him back. We both cried. My

parents and his parents came out to see what had happened. I believe my parents would give me a hand , but to my surprise, after my parents had known what had happened, they just gave me a beat, I was so sad, and cried again. After we got home, I asked:“Mom, Dad. Don’t you love me any more?” My parents look at me, and said:“No matter who was right, don’t you remember what I have told you before? You are a girl, and you must have a big heart.” My parents always had their own way to make me understand things.

I love my parents. I am proud of them.

How I learn to speak English.

I think, in order to speak English fluently, The most important thing is to lay a good foundation. That is to pronounce English words correctly and to have a good intonation. I spent a lot of time in reading aloud my lessons which helped me a lot in clear pronunciation and correct

intonation.

The second thing is to memory a lot of sentence patterns. The third important thing I believe is to practice. Speaking English is just like any kind of skill. You can only attain excellence through practicing.

The last is to form a habit of thinking in English If you think in Chinese and translate them in your mind into English before you open your mouth to speak, you would never be able to talk fluently and naturally.

In conclusion, I want to make clear that there is much to be desired in my oral English. I have to keep on studying and practicing in order to improve my English. That’s all .Thank you!

小学英语口语竞赛活动方案 为了培养小学生学习英语口语的兴趣,提升学生英语口语水平, 促使教师注重口语教学,根据本学期小学英语教研计划,将在本学期 末举行2020年桐乡市小学英语口语比赛。现将方案公布如下,具体比 赛通知日后再发。一、比赛年级:五年级二、参赛人员选拔 (1)校级选拔比赛由各校自行组织。 (2)市级比赛:根据年报数,班级数在5个以内的,每校1位选手;超过5个班的,每校2位选手。 三、比赛方式: (1)比赛分为2部分。选手先进入第一赛场,参加第一部分竞赛;然后进入第二赛场,参加第二部分竞赛。 (2)第一部分(50分。3分钟。)篇章朗读和造句。 朗读:内容源自五年级教材(上、下册)中各单元的对话和阅读 材料。(partc和recycle的内容除外。)约30秒内能够完成。 造句:共需要造5个句子。每一小题给出2个词汇。所造的句子 必须包括这两个词汇,并且必须为句子给出理由(用because)。例如: 词汇:yaoming,tall 答案:yaomingissotall---becausehisfatherandmotherlovesports. (3)第二部分(50分。3分钟。)单词朗读和看图说话。 单词朗读:朗读10个单词。所给单词在教材中没有出现过,但是 能够根据学生已有的语音知识推测出发音的。 看图说话:看一幅图片,说出至少5个句子,或者形成一个小篇章。

四、评分项目 (1)篇章朗读(20分):语音准确、重音合理、朗读流畅。综合评分。 (2)造句(30分):用到所给词汇。because之前语法准确。because之后合理、丰富、有创造性等。分小题评分。 (3)单词朗读(20分):能根据基本发音规律,准确朗读单词。分小题评分。 (4)看图说话(30分):语句数量,语句难度,逻辑合理,富有联想,……。综合评分。 五、奖项设置(1)参加市级比赛的选手中,40%为桐乡市一等奖,60%为桐乡市二等奖。 校级选拔比赛中,除参加桐乡市级比赛的选手,另外上报2位学生,为桐乡市三等奖。 六、其他事项 (1)每个部分的比赛中,只有开始和结束的提示音,中间无提示。需要选手自行把握进程。 (2)各校在5月31日前,将参加市级比赛的选手和获得桐乡市 三等奖的学生的姓名、班级、指导教师上报到english.tx@和lingyingqiang@ 桐乡市教研科研室

But Islamic extremism is also a serious concern, particularly in the United States, Europe and sub-Saharan Africa. In contrast, relatively few consider American or Chinese power and influence a major threat to their countries Concern about global climate change is particularly prevalent in Latin America, Europe, sub-Saharan Africa, and the Asian/Pacific region, but majorities in Lebanon, Tunisia and Canada also say climate change is a major threat to their countries. In contrast, Americans are relatively unconcerned about global climate change. Four-in-ten say this poses a major threat to their nation, making Americans among the least concerned about this issue of the 39 publics surveyed, along with people in China, Czech Republic, Jordan, Israel, Egypt and Pakistan. These are among the key findings of a new survey by the Pew Research Center conducted in 39 countries among 37,653 respondents from March 2 to May 1, 2013.1 The survey also finds that at least half in all of the European Union nations surveyed, as well as in most Middle Eastern and African countries, consider international financial instability a major threat. This is especially the case in southern Europe: 95% in Greece, 75% in Italy and 70% in Spain express concern about financial instability. 西陵区首届小学英语口语大赛活动方案 (2014-12-25 绿萝路小学承办) 一、活动目的 为丰富全区小学生学习英语内容,激发和保持学生学习英语的兴趣, 提高英语口语表达能力,培养竞争意识,为升入初中学习英语打下坚实的基础。同时,也是交流、展示校际间教学成果,推动全区小学英语课堂教学改革。 二、参赛对象 五年级学生。 三、组赛形式及比赛时间: 1. 初赛:以学校为单位,由学校组织五年级全体学生参加初赛。10月完成。 2. 复赛:以片区为单位,由片区组织学校代表队(每队4人)复赛。在片区复赛的基础上,推选出50%优秀学校代表队(4人)参加全区的决赛。11月完成。 3. 决赛:以区为单位,由区组织片区推选出的50%优秀学校代表队参加决赛。2014年12月25日(星期四圣诞节)下午举行 四、比赛地点 绿萝路小学承办 五、比赛内容及参赛规程 (一)比赛内容(以教材为蓝本) 1. 自我介绍。选手抽签决定参赛顺序,一次仅一名选手参赛,其他选手回避。(赛前选手自己准备好,限时3分钟以内完成)。 2. 抽签答题。选手抽签决定参赛序号,全体选手上场按序号就座,然后从大屏幕上选号答题,三轮回仅回答三个问题(选号后,看到答题时可以思考5秒钟后答题,限时1分钟以内完成)。 3. 看图说话。参赛规程同“抽签答题”一样(选号后,看到图片时可以思考10秒钟后开始,限时3分钟以内完成)。 4. 讲故事。参赛规程同“自我介绍”一样(赛前选手自己准备好,抽签后5秒钟开
