A
I am a student at Leeds University, completing a degree in history. As a member of the Student Union, I am actively involved in the day-to-day running of student life. The Student Union takes responsibility for organizing student events such as concerts and sports days, as well as fund-raising activities. I play a large part in organizing these events. These responsibilities test my leadership as well as my organizational skills.
For many years I have been interested in journalism. While I was at school, I helped to run the school magazine, and in my first year at university I often contributed articles to the Student Magazine, “Juice”. Running and writing a magazine requires the ability to produce interesting, topical articles while working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines. The success of the school magazine shows that I managed to develop these abilities at a high standard.
In my free time I enjoy watching films. I am a member of a local community film club and helped organize a short film festival last year. I contributed my own short video about student life to the festival, which was very well received.
I believe I have made a positive contribution to university life, as well as to the local community. I am confident and competitive, but also a good team worker. My natural enthusiasm (热情) has often helped me inspire others and achieve excellent results. You have every reason to believe that I am able to do the job well.

We each have a memory. That’s why we can still remember things after a long time. Some people have very good memories and they can easily learn many things by heart, but some people can only remember things when they do them again and again. Many of the great men of the world have got surprising memories.
A good memory is a great help in learning a language. Everybody learns his mother language when he is a small child. He hears the sounds, remember them and then he learns to speak. Some children are living with their parents in foreign countries. They can learn two languages as easily as one because they hear, remember and speak two languages every day. In school it is not easy to learn a foreign language because the pupils have so little time for it, and they are busy with other subjects, too. But your memory will become better and better when you do more and more exercises.

Use a smaller bowl – much smaller
Go into your cupboard and fin your smallest bowl. Now that will be the bowl that you will eat out of. By doing this you actually pick much less food than you are naturally served.
Vegetables are your main course
For example, you might have one plate of cucumber dish, one of corn & carrots, and then another with ribs. Find a few dishes that you whole family loves and rotate (轮换) those.
Cut down on your meat & dairy
We eat very little meat. So do most Chinese. We eat very little dairy. It was hard first. Cut it down and try to limit it to eggs, milk and yogurt.
Use chopsticks to eat
We love eating with chopsticks and wonder why we didn’t use them more at home. You eat a lot slower, A LOT.
Introduce rice and noodles into your meals
A Chinese diet includes a lot of rice and noodles. So our daily diet is no different, we eat rice
