A rainforest is a piece of tropical(热带的) woodland, characterized(表现...的特色) by lush(繁荣的) vegetation(植被) and great biological diversity（差异）. There are more species（种类）of plants and animals in tropical rain forests than in all the rest of the world’s ecosystems（生态系统）combined（组合）. About 70 percent of all plant species in these forests are trees.
