The South China competition of RoboCup Junior 2012, a global youth competition for robots, has been held in Guangzhou. It attracts some 200 students or 70 teams from Guangdong, Hunan, Fujian and Jiangxi to compete.
Robot soccer games, robot rescue and robot dancing are three major sections in the competition. And this year even more types of matches have been introduced. There are CoSpace rescue and dance requiring the competitors to play in both virtual （虚拟的）and real environments. The competitions for robot rescue and soccer games programing are also included.
The matches of CoSpace rescue and dance has drawn the attention of many spectators.
