教学目标:

一、课前热身(Warm-up)

Greeting:

二、课前预习(Preview)

1. 教师出示几张学校几年前的照片和几张现在的照片,请学生仔细观察,找出变化。T: Can you find out some differences? What are they?

2. 话题导入。

T: From these pictures we know, the school has changed a lot in the past few years. In this unit we will learn to talk about what somebody on something was like then and what it is like now. Today, we will learn to talk about the changes of our school.

三、新课呈现(Presentation)

1. Let’s try

(1)带领学生读题目,解读题意。

(2)播放第一遍录音,学生仔细听录音,听清录音内容。播放第二遍录音,学生完成听力练习。

(3)再次播放录音,学生一起跟读,检查正确答案。

2. Let’s talk

(1)教师播放课本“Let’s talk”部分的录音,学生跟录音读对话,提醒学生注意模仿录音中的语音、语调。

(2)学生同桌之间分角色练习表演对话,然后请两三组学生上讲台表演,提醒学生表演时要带上适当的表情和动作。

(3)让学生观察对话旁边的图片,然后回答老师的提问:

①What can you see in the picture?

②What are they doing?

引导学生回答:There are three people in the picture. They are Wu Yifan, Sarah and Grandpa. They are looking at the pictures of Grandpa’s school.

(4)教师再次提问:What was Grandpa’s school like?

学生分组讨论,然后各组派代表汇报。

(5)讲解对话中的重难点知识:What was Grandpa’s school like?

(1)课件出示教学挂图,请学生仔细观察,说说这是哪里。

(2)教学新词汇。

①教学:dining hall

T: How much times do you have meal every day?

S: Three time a day.

T: Where do you have meals?

S: We have meals in dining room.

T: Right. You often have breakfast in dining room at home. But where do you have lunch at school? 引导学生说出“食堂”。教师出示单词dining hall,带读、板书。

②通过课件展示体育馆的图片,教学新单词gym。

③用同样方法教学单词grass

④指导学生用新学的单词造句,看谁造得又多又好。

(3)教学表示过去的时间状语。

一般过去时表示过去某个时间里发生的动作或存在的状态时,常和表示过去的时间状语连用,常用的时间状语有:two hours ago (一段时间+ ago), yesterday (放于句子开头或结尾), the day before yesterday, last week / year / night / month, 具体时间如on Jan. 4th, just now, this morning, long long ago等。

(4)带领学生读对话,体会时间状语在一般过去时中的运用。

(5)播放两遍“Let’s learn”部分的录音,学生跟录音读。

(6)学生同桌之间分角色练习读本部分的词汇和对话。

2. Find the mistakes.

(1)教师出示课本挂图,提问:What can you see in the picture? Which dynasty is it? Guess! (2)引导学生仔细看图,找出图中的几处建筑物。

(3)学生两两一组练习,然后教师请几位小组代表进行汇报。

教师再出示一张自己祖父母的旧照和近照,说:Who are they? They are my grandparents. Now they are old. Then they were young. As we know, all of us are changing all the time. Today, we will learn how to talk about the changes.

①教学go cycling

教师出示一张男孩骑车的照片,提问:What is he doing? 引导学生回答:He is riding a bike. 教师再问:Can you ride a bike? Do you like riding it? Some people like riding bikes a lot. They often go cycling at weekends or on holidays.

板书:go cycling

领读,纠正发音。

讲解:go与表示活动、消遣等方面的动词ing形式连用,表示在某地特定的情况下暂时从事的运动、消遣或活动,这时的go有“去”的意思。

②教学play badminton

教师出示男孩打羽毛球的照片,引导学生说出play badminton。告诉学生:play在跟乐器名称搭配时,要在乐器名称之前加定冠词the,而跟球类运动词搭配时,不加the。

③用同样的方法教学ice skate

(2)播放本部分的教学录音,学生跟录音读单词和句子,提醒学生注意模仿录音总的语音、语调。

(3)带领学生逐句读对话,讲解对话大意。

(4)学生分组练习对话,用上图片中的短语或者别的体育活动项目做替换练习。
