一、使用多媒体的好处
（一）有效激发学生的学习兴趣。
兴趣是最好的老师，夸美纽斯认为，激发学习兴趣是创造一种欢乐和光明的教学环境的重要途径之一。多媒体教学手段相对于传统的教学方式而言，它可以利用其对文本声音、图形、图像、动画等的综合处理特点，编制的系列教学课件，充分创造出一个图文并茂、有声有色、生动逼真的教学环境，为教师教学的顺利实施提供形象的表达工具，有效激发学生的学习兴趣，让学生在快乐中学习落到实处。
（二）增大课堂容量，提高教学效率。
传统的英语教学手段是“一本书，一支粉笔，一块黑板，一台录音机，一张嘴。”教学方法单一枯燥无味，而且教师忙于板书延缓了教学进度，学生忙于记笔记不能专心听课。而一门语言能力的获得主要依靠于实践，在实践中提高并改进。英语作为一门语言学科，需要有足够的时间让学生操练，如果课堂时间有限，学生实践
