DSP Power Management Reference Guide

The power consumption of a DSP depends upon a number of factors, such as peripheral use, intensity of code loops, and operation frequency. Each
application has unique characteristics which should be verified during development. The following tables are intended to aid in selecting core and I/O power supplies for a single TI DSP and include ample margin to meet peak demands. When using multiple DSPs, accommodating tight power budgets, or minimizing board space, check the power consumption in the DSP datasheet and select the appropriate TI power management device from the general purpose chart in this guide.
