One of the candidates TIME's editors are choosing as the Person of the Year 2012 is a beautiful, little, dark-haired girl from remote, rural Pakistan who simply wanted to go to school.

On October 9,2012, 15-year-old Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in Pakistan. She survived the attack and was sent by helicopter to have a bullet removed from her head in a hospital 6,000 miles away in Birmingham, England.

Malala has now become the most famous teenager on earth, a symbol of women’s rights and has even been nominated for next year's Nobel Peace Prize.

Traditional businessmen feel worried that growing e-commerce will reduce their share of the market.

According to a survey, 90% of some people's purchases are made on the computer. As they find that by being able to go shopping online and choose the things that they need, and have them delivered right to their doorsteps, they could no longer be bothered with driving, the crowds, the noise of that, and they usually get a better selection.

Cornell University Marketing Professor, Edward McLaughlin says traditional stores can keep their customers by offering goods like clothing, which customers may want to see and try on before purchasing, as well as items that are difficult to ship.He says some traditional stores are also pleasing customers with services that set up or repair computers and other electronic equipment.

Traditional stores also offer social experiences that some shoppers enjoy. There is still a lot of emotion in the buying decision that takes place. Oftentimes, you need that last sense of “this is exactly what I want” before you part with mone y. And you can't always get that online. It's a rather cold process.

As more and more people have Internet access and smartphones, online commerce is likely to continue its growth here in the United States and in other countries.

D. making buying decisions in traditional shops is difficult

I'm not so sure I like my friends any more. I used to like them-to be honest. We'd have lunch, talk on the phone or exchange e-mails, and they all seemed normal enough. But then came Facebook, and I was introduced to a sad fact: many of my friends have dark sides that they had kept from me.

Today my friends show the more unpleasant aspects of their personalities via Facebook. No longer hidden, they're thrown in my face like TV commercials-unavoidable and endless advertisements for the worst of their personalities.

Take Fred. If you were to have lunch with him, you'd find him warm and down-to-earth. Read his Facebook, and you'll realize he's an unbearable, food-obsessed bore. He'd pause to have a cup of coffee on his way to saving a drowning man, and then write about it.

Take Andy. You won't find a smarter CEO anywhere, but now he's a CEO without a company to run. So he plays Mafia Wars on Facebook. He's doing well-level 731. Thanks to Facebook, I know he's playing about 18 hours a day. Andy, you've run four companies, and this is how you spend your downtime? What happened to golf? What happened to getting another job?

Take Liz. She is positive that the H1 N1 vaccine (疫苗) will kill us all and that we should avoid it. And then comes Chris who likes to post at least 20 times a day on every website he can find, so I get to read his thoughts twice, once on Facebook and once on Twitter.

In real life, I don't see these sides of them. Face to face, my friends show me their best. They're nice, smart people. But on Facebook, my friends are like a blind date which goes horribly wrong.

I'm left with a dilemma. Who is my real friend? Is it the Liz I have lunch with or the anti-vaccine lunatic (疯狂的人) on Facebook? Is it the Fred I can grab with a sandwich or the Fred who weeps if he's at a party and the wine isn't up to his standards?

48.Who is opposed to the H1N1 vaccine in the text?

A. Fred.

B. Andy.

C. Liz.

D. Chris. 49.What's Andy probably busy doing now?

A. He's running his company.

B. He's playing golf all day.

C. He's looking for another job.

D. He's playing computer games.

50.The text is developed mainly by________.

A. giving examples

B. following the time order

C. listing figures

D. raising questions
