As students, you have had many exams. Exams arean important part of education and the beginning of stressfor manystudents. According to the research, many students are under stress from exams. If you are among them, the following words may help you.
Do you know context-dependent memory(记忆依赖效应)? It refers to the idea that we are best able to remember things in environments similar to when the information was encoded(编码). For example, if you will be in a quiet room during your exam, try to create those conditions while you prepare.
Be sure to drink plenty of water. Aim for at least 8 eight glasses of water per day. Not drinking enough water can make you feel stressed. Caffeine can make you feel excited, which can cut down the feeling of stress. Have a cup of coffee or a cola if you like, but don’t drink too much. the human brain can only focus on one task effectively for about 45 minutes. So after studying hard for about an hour, take a break and play on the Internet for 20 minutes or watch a part of a TV show that you enjoy. This will help you get your mind off the exam.
It is important to eat right if you want to have the best chance of doing well on your exam and not stressing about it. Try eating nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Avoid too much sugar.

Can you make your New Year’s resolution successful?
A New Year’s resolution is a promise people make to start doing something good or stop doing something bad from the first day of the year. Typical resolutions include giving up smoking and keeping fit. However, the promise is often broken quite quickly and people are back into their bad habits within weeks or days.
A study by Richard Wiseman from the University ofBristol, UK, involving 3,000 people showed that 88 percent of those who set New Year resolutions fail, the fact is that 52 percent of the study’s participants(参与者)were confident of success at the beginning.
