一、A Lion and a mouse

One fine day in spring, a mouse came out to the lawn and enjoyed the sun.

Surprisingly what he thought to be grass was actually Lion's mane. The lion awoke from his nap and shouted.

"What a luck! I was hungry and a mouse is in front of me! I should eat you!"

"Please, Lion! Don't eat me! If you just let me go, I wouldn't forget this!"

"What??? You will repay me?"

The Lion laughed at the mouse. But he pitied the mouse, he set the mouse free.

After several days, the Lion was caught in a hunter's net.

"I'll be dead." He sobbed.

"Lion! Don't cry, I'll help you!"

The mouse cut the net with his sharp teeth.

When the Lion was set free, he shed tears and said, "thank you, mouse. I'm sorry I sneered at you." The Lion and the mouse became good friends.

二、the Crow and Fox

A crow who had stolen a piece of meat,perched in a tree.

A fox that was passing by saw it and his mouth watered for the peace of meat.

So ,it stood under the tree and began to call up :"the crow's body is stout and the feathers is nice. It should be the king of all birds. If it could sing a sweet song, it would be worthy of being king." The crow opened his mouth in order to demonstrate it's voice, but the meat fell down from its break.

The frog ran forwards to the meat and derided to him:"if you were wise, you could be the king of the birds."

This story is fitting for those silly people.

三、the little child and a lion drawn on the wall.

A timit old man had a son who was brave and liked hunting.

Once,the old man dreamed that his son died pitifully of being bitten.

The old man was afraid that the dream would come ture.

So he built a nice strong house and shut his son in it.

On the wall,the old man drew all kinds of animals including a lion to make his son happy. However,the more his son saw them,the more tired he was of them.

One day, he stood near the lion and said,

disgusting beast,I am shut up because of you and my father's ridiculous dream.

He hit the wall with his fist as if he wanted to kill it.

However,a splinter went into his finger

It was painful and he had a fever

Soon,he was dead.

In fact ,the lion on the wall killed the child.

The father brought harm upon his son.

This is to say,the people shoud face dificulties and not try to avoid them.

四、Litter Deer and His Father

One day, a litter deer says to his father:" Father, why are you still afraid of the hunting dog?" You are taller than him,; you run faster than him. Also you can protect yourself with your big horns." His father smiles and says: "Son, you are right. However, I know that. I can't help running away as

soon as I hear the bark of the hunting dog."

This is to say: it is no use encouraging the coward.

五、The Ass and the Little Dog

A man raises a dog and an ass. He often larks with the dog.

One day, he goes out for a meal and brings some food for the dog. The dog is so happy to meet him and wags his tail. The ass envies this, so that he kicks the host. The man is so angry that he hits the ass and ties him in the stable.

This story tells us, it is not sure that the same thing is suitable for everyone.

六、The Lion and The Man Walk Together

One day, a lion and a man walk together.

They boast to each other.

On the way, they see a stone where a picture is carved a man has conquered some lions.

While pointing the picture and showing the lion, the man says: Look! This proves that we are stronger than you. haw-haw.

The lion says: Ah,ah, if a lion could carve you would see the picture where some people are defeated by a lion.

This story means: Incapable man are used to showing off in front of others.

七、The thirsty crow

A crow feels very thirsty, he flies toward a water pot,but the pot is almost empty. He tries his best to drink but in vain. Then,he tries to push the pot over so that the water can flow out. But he can't move the pot.Just then, he thinks up a better method.

One by one he puts stones into the pot.With each stone, the water level gradually increases. At last, the crow drinks the water and satisfies his thirst.

This story means: Wisdom is beyond strength.

八、The Fox And The Cat

Once upon a time, a cat met a fox in the forest.

The cat thought," the fox is clever and experienced,I should learn from him."

Then ,with a kind and pleasant countenance,

He says,"Hello, Fox my brother! how do you live through a farmine?"

The fox is very proud and it looks at him scornfully with his eyes half closed.

Then he says," You are so stupid,you can only catch mice.certainly, would go

hungry in a farmine"

The cats says modestly,"Compare to you,my skills are very few."

The fox says," what can you do except catch mice?"

The cat says,"If a big dog running after me,I can climb up a tree "

The fox says,"Climb up a tree.What sort of skill is that? I have hundreds of skills and a bag full of strategies.you are so pitiful! But because you are modest and polite to me,I would teach you how to avoid the big dog."

when he says this,a hunter comes with four hunting dogs.

As soon as the cat sees them,it climbs up on a tree and hides in the branches .

It says to the fox,"Brother fox,you should open your bag quick and take out a strategy!"

But the hunting dogs bite the fox.

The cat says,"Poor fox, it was no use boasting,if you had my little skill,you would not be killed!"

九、The mice held a meeting

Long ago, some mice kept getting attacked by a cat. So they held a meeting together. and discussed what to do.

At the meeting, each mouse had a different opinion, but all were voted down.

Finally, a little mouse proposed that they hang a small bell around the cat’s neck, when they heard the bell ring, they would run away. All the mice agreed with what the little mice said, and applauded him.

An old mouse who were sitting aside said nothing. Then it stood up and said:“This idea is very cleaver, but I think we will still have some trouble, the problem is who should we send to hang the small bell around the cat’s neck?

The story means that thinking up an idea is easyer than actually carrying out the plan.

十、The wolf and the old woman

A hungry wolf is searching for food everywhere.

When he comes to a cottage,he hears a child crying .An old woman fusses and say to the little child:Stop crying! Otherwise,i will throw you to the wolf .hearing this and the wolf believes that and waited outside.
