Tom told the police officer that he was going to take a very important exam and that he was worried he might be late. The police officer picked up his phone and asked a police car to come at once.
When it arrived, he asked Tom to get into the car. Then the police officer drove as fast as he could to the school. They arrived ten minutes before the exam started. So Tom was able to take the exam on time.
