《大学英语1》教学大纲

《大学英语》教学大纲 一、课程类别任意选修 二、教学目的 大学英语是成人高等教育中一门重要的基础课程,着重对学生进行英语基本技能训练,培养学生使用英语进行人际沟通的能力。学生毕业后应具备职业岗位所需要的一定的听说能力、较强的阅读和翻译本专业的一般技术资料的能力、书写常用专业应用文的能力,并为今后学习和运用英语打下较为扎实的基础。 本课程在加强英语语言基础知识和基本技能训练的同时,重视培养学生实际使用英语进行交际的能力。通过本课程的学习,学生应该达到下列要求: 1.词汇 认知3400个英语单词(包括入学时要求掌握的1600个词)以及由这些词构成的常用词组,对其中2000个左右的单词能正确拼写,英汉互译。学生还应结合专业英语学习,认知400个专业英语词汇。 2.语法 掌握基本的英语语法规则,在听、说、读、写、译中能正确运用所学语法知识。 3.听力 能听懂日常和涉外业务活动中使用的结构简单、发音清楚、语速较慢(每分钟120词左右)的英语对话和不太复杂的陈述,理解基本正确。 4.口语 能用英语进行一般的课堂交际,并能在日常和涉外业务活动中进行简单的交流。 5.阅读 能阅读中等难度的一般题材的简短英文资料,理解正确。在阅读生词不超过总词数3%的英文资料时,阅读速度不低于每分钟70词。能读懂通用的简短实用文字材料,如信函、技术说明书、合同等,理解正确。 6.写作 能就一般性题材,在30分钟内写出80-100词的命题作文;能填写和模拟套写简短的英语应用文,如填写表格与单证,套写简历、通知、信函等,词句基本正确,无重大语法错误,

格式恰当,表达清楚。 7、翻译(英译汉) 能借助词典将中等难度的一般题材的文字材料和对外交往中的一般业务文字材料译成汉语。理解正确,译文达意,格式恰当。在翻译生词不超过总词数5%的实用文字材料时,笔译速度每小时250个英语词。 三、开课对象各专业函授(业余)本科学生 四、学时分配 总学时:210 其中面授:30学时自学:180学时 五、教学内容与基本要求、教学的重点和难点 【第二学期面授:12学时;自学:72学时】 Unit 1 College Life 1.听与说 Introducing yourself By listening to the conversations between two new college students who meet at campus, learn the way to introduce yourself and tell your class your name, your age, where you come from, when you began to learn English and what you like to do on weekends. 2.阅读与探究 For many people, college life is a new experience. 《大学英语》课程教学大纲 COLLEGE ENGLISH 执笔者:吴勇 审核人:易强 编写日期:2017年10月 二、课程简述 《大学英语》课程是我校非英语专业本科基础阶段的公共基础课,旨在提高学生的英语综合能力和素质,安排在第一、二学年的四个学期开设。根据我校实际情况,《大学英语》课程实行分级教学,第一学期修读《大学英语1》,第二学期修读《大学英语2》,第三学期修读《大学英语(跨文化交际英语)》,第四学期修读《大学英语(学术英语)》。大学英语课程每学期48学时,3学分,两学期合计96学时,6学分,四学期合计192学时,12学分。本课程根据教育部制订的《大学英语教学指南》(2014)及我校人才培养定位实

Don’t you hear Big John is coming?” Task3: A View of Happiness Script Dr. Smith has proposed a reasonable, if perhaps somewhat oversimplifies, view of happiness. According to his theory, happiness might be described as a state if balance. And when human or certain animals achieve that balance, they rend to remain in that condition in order to repeat the happy feeling. To illustrate this, we may study two magnets. When their positive and negative poles meet, they are comfortably joined, and they remain there. In other words, they have attained a balance or state of happiness. If on the other hand, one of the poles is reversed, and positive pole is presses against positive pole, there is resistance, instability, imbalance a state of unhappiness. Animals with some degree of intelligence seem to find happiness in reinforcement. 2016年大学英语四级各题型备考方法英语四级考试对于大学生来说很重要,因此小编今天就来和大家谈一谈英语四级备考方法,希望对大家有帮助。 1、首先定位自己的英语水平 了结自己,了解四级,可谓是知己知彼,百战不殆。首先可以以自己所参加的几次综合考试或四级考试,以及做全真题的成绩和感受来定位自己的英语水平,至少是英语应试的水平。可以大略地确定自己的长处和短处。长处继续发扬,短处必须恶补。因为时不我待。 2、词汇的积累和熟练 词汇是参加任何英语考试的基础,特别是作为全国大学英语级别考试中初级水平的四级考试。希望朋友们在5月末之前必须把四级大纲所规定4500词汇浏览3遍。注意是浏览!不一定都要背诵。这样可以在辅导班的第3阶段或者自己准备做全真题时,不会无所适从。词汇的记忆和积累,精记和泛记结合起来。精记以词汇书为主,做到”四到“:手到(拼写),口到(朗读),心到(专心)和脑到(分析构词法,成串记忆,考点)。同时用卡片或小手册强化记忆每页中难以记住的重要词汇。泛记是积累英语词汇的最有效的方法,但是短时间难以达到大纲所规定的量,不过可以作为辅助手段。就是在平时的阅读,听力,练习,甚至生活中用心捕捉和四级单词和相关单词,特别是某些四级词汇的搭配。 3、语法结构的加强

尽管现在单独作为考试题型的语法结构越来越少,可是在任何一个四级和六级的考试题型中,语句的理解还是以语法结构为基础,特别是结构。同时精选10篇左右文章细看、精看,涉及到每个词,结构,篇章来温习和锻炼自己长句,复杂句等的理解,同时逐步加快速度,可以提高自己在考试中,特别是阅读理解中理解的速度。 4、听力的磨练 听力薄弱的原因很多,词汇量,语音,语法结构(意群),语气语调重读(语感),锻炼,技巧等。在加强自己词汇量,语法结构的理解,以及语音尽量标准的基础上,每天或至少经常加强听力练习,以听和四级命题相类似的练习为主。如果不懂,可以反复听几遍。少看或尽量推迟看文字材料。把简短对话和文章结合起来听。同时附以听写短句。难度可以逐步加大。对于基础不好的同学,可以选择比较简单的材料分项训练(时间,数字,地点,转折……)。 5、阅读理解的掌握 阅读是四级中最重要的部分,得阅读者,得天下。但是反之亦然。所以应该极力重视。但是阅读是综合才能。词汇,结构,逻辑,篇章,理解等对阅读产生很大的影响。在加强基本功的基础上,在附以技巧和训练。现在朋友们的阅读不必上量上速度,要精看,找出自己理解的长处和短处(特别是错误后的反省)注意阅读步骤的培养:浏览——看题——找答案点——理解含有答案点句子或段落——看和理解选项——对比和对应选项和答案点。掌握技巧和方法是现在必须要做的,所以完成一篇文章后,最好要返看,提炼自己的得失,总结出题特点和思路,同时提炼好的词汇搭配,结构甚至写作中可以用到的精彩句子。然后逐步加大量和提高自己的速度。

Unit 1 The Perfect Swarm Narrator: Damage from swarms of locusts can reach disastrous proportions. A single swarm of desert locusts can consume over 70,000 metric tons of vegetation a day.
