什么是核心期刊 ?布拉德福定律——核心期刊的起源
对某一主题而言，如果将科学期刊按其刊载某个学科领域 的论文数量以递减顺序排列起来，就可以在所有这些期刊 中区分出载文量最多的‘核心’区和包含着与核心区同等数 量论文的随后几个区，这时核心区和后继各区中所含的期 刊数成 1:a:a2 …… 的关系（ a>1 ）。
常用表述：某个学科领域的论文绝大多数集 中在少数专业期刊之中。

什么是核心期刊 ?加菲尔德文献集中定律：测定核心期刊的另一种方式
1963年Science Citation index （简称SCI）出版问世，加 菲尔德以SCI数据为统计对象，在1971年对2000种期刊中的10 万参考文献统计后发现，24%的引用频次高的文章出自25种期 刊，50%的引用频次较高的文章出自152种期刊，75%出自767 种期刊，而其余25%的被引文章分布在数量更多的期刊中。
通常表述：论文被引用频次高的期刊也有一个比 较集中的核心区域和一个比较分散的相关区 域。

建议大家多向国外刊物投稿 转自：https://www.doczj.com/doc/cf14456518.html,/bbs/post/view? ... amp;tpg=2&age=0 【投稿经验】建议大家多向国外刊物投稿 向众位同仁倡议“少读中文文献，多读外文文献!”，得到大家的积极回应。我很赞同Bioon 先生的提议，但觉得在国内目前的学术氛围下，多读外文文献还是不够的，要有走出去、向国外刊物投稿的勇气和决心。只有让自己的工作接受国外的一线评审，哪怕是多次修改，多次退稿，但为了能很好的提高论文的质量，受这点委屈我个人觉得还是值得的。 有了一定的实验数据，结果也比较满意，就应该先试着向国外刊物投稿。为何优先考虑外面的刊物？我们没有必要回避所谓的“功利”思想，要知道现在好多高校、研究所什么的都讲究在SCI刊物上发文章，而且还予以奖励，如我们所里对影响因子5点几的Molecular Biology and Evolution杂志上发表一篇论文的奖励就有7千多元。同样的一篇文章，发在国外刊物上的影响会比国内的大得多。而且，科技界一直倡导要参与国际竞争，搞基础研究的，如果不是涉及机密，科研成果就应该拿到国际期刊上发表，接受国际同行们的检阅。 一个杂志发表论文质量的高低和杂志的历史、涉及的专业以及是否拥有高质量的审稿人和编辑等有关。好的杂志，不仅编辑对于投寄来的稿件有着相当敏锐的观察力，而且拥有一群高质量的审稿人群体，这里姑且戏称之为“高质量的检测系统”吧。投寄的文章如果能够在这些高质量的“检测系统”中过滤一遍，即使是退稿（当然不是指那种未经任何评审直接被编辑退稿），得到的审稿意见（一般都是好几页，不像国内好多刊物都是寥寥数行）也是一笔不小的财富。按照这些审稿意见，如果不是对数据本身提出疑问的话，对论文进行修改，再转投一个档次稍低一些的刊物，我想遇到的麻烦可能就会少得多。这也就是说，高的定位才能够讲究高的起点。事实上，很多国外刊物的编辑是能够理解我们这些英语非母语国家投寄稿件中存在的诸多语法和文词上存在的毛病，句意只要能够表达清楚，很多的时候他们对文章的定夺还是看其中的数据和结果。我自己在国外期刊上发表的几篇文章的最初审稿意见中一直都有一条，就是language的问题，最后基本上是靠自己解决一点，编辑或审稿人帮忙一点，语言读起来也没有太大的毛病。 在国内期刊上发文章，有时不一定非得看文章的质量如何，其中的猫腻不说大家也清楚，最重要的是稿件得不到高质量的评审。我所熟识的几位同仁学识一般，但常有那么几个国内生物学杂志委托审稿。接到稿件后通常做法都是先看看谁写的，哪个单位的，然后放于案头，等到编辑指定的最后期限，花上几个小时或几十分钟，写上数行意见寄出，仅此而已，缺少我们常常期待的严谨精神。作者不严谨（包括初次投稿者缺乏经验，老板没把关），审稿人随便，再加上缺乏一个有效的学术监督机制，直接导致了如今国内刊物很多文章的粗制滥造。 当然，国内刊物上发表的较多文章也具备了可以在国外刊物上发表的质量，一些国内杂志如《遗传学报》、《动物学研究》上发表的有些文章在国外一些期刊上都有英文版，只是在英文版中或增加了一点数据，或添加了一些分析，或将几篇国内的文章合并归一，也有几乎完全的翻译版。虽然这种变相的“一稿两投”值得谴责，但这在一方面也提醒我们有些国外期刊对于稿件的要求不是特别的高。一些影响因子比较低的国外刊物，对于一些原创性不高、数据量不大、结果没有太多新颖性的文章也是来之不拒或来之少拒。举个例子吧，复旦的毛

国外专业学术期刊投稿指南 国外科学界有一句名言：一项科学实验，直到其成果发表并被理解才算完成。此名言阐述了两个道理，首先是研究成果必须发表，即信息得到传播和交流；其次是发表的论文必须被读者接受并理解，即信息被社会认可，产生了应有的社会效益和经济效益。 据《美国医学会杂志》（Journal of the American Medical Association , JAMA）统计：1996JAMA国际投稿占全部自由来稿的13%，接受率仅为（国际投稿的）8%，其中英国投稿5 3篇，接受9篇；澳大利亚投稿20篇，接受3篇；加拿大投稿109篇，接受19篇；……中国仅投稿4篇，接受0篇。1997JAMA国际投稿占全部自由来稿的14%，接受率为9%，其中英国投稿33篇，接受4篇；澳大利亚投稿16篇，接受1篇；加拿大投稿100篇，接受19篇；……中国仅投稿6篇，接受0篇。以上数据从一个侧面表明，虽然目前我国生物医学工作者正在进行或已经完成了大量的国际水平的研究工作，但与西方国家比较，其成果向国外生物医学期刊投稿的比率仍很低，刊用率则更低。其主要原因除了与我国生物医学工作者英文论文写作水平有关外；还与我国大多数生物医学工作者不了解国外生物医学期刊的编辑政策和标准、不了解向国外生物医学期刊投稿的程序，以致不敢向国外投稿或所投稿件不符合国外生物医学期刊的要求有很大关系。 为了使我国生物医学工作者能在国外生物医学期刊，尤其是在国际著名期刊上发表更多的高水平论文，使其它国家的生物医学科学家更多、更好地了解中国，提高我国在国际生物医学领域的地位，我国生物医学工作者应努力提高自己的英文写作技能、认真学习国外生物医学期刊编排的国际标准、熟悉国外生物医学期刊论文的发表过程，并了解如何获得国外生物医学期刊编辑的帮助。 据估计，目前西方国家有几千种英文生物医学期刊；而国际著名生物医学期刊自由来稿的退稿率均在90%左右。 我国生物医学工作者只要确信自己的研究成果已达到在国外生物医学期刊发表的水平，即具有突出的科学重要性、能引起有关学科读者的极大兴趣，就有可能在以上两个数字之间找到一种适合于自己论文投稿的期刊。这时，我们所要作的一切就是找到这本刊物，并按其格式撰写论文，因为退稿常常仅是因为论文不适合于所投期刊的征稿范围或格式要求。 国外英文生物医学期刊种类繁多，即使在同一分支学科或同一临床专业也有许多期刊，并且各个期刊的办刊宗旨、专业范围、主题分配、栏目设置及各种类型文章发表的比例均不相同。
