When I was sixteen years old, I made my first visit to the United States. It wasn’t the first time I had been abroad. Like most English children, I learned French at school. And I had often been to France, so I was used to speaking a foreign language to people who didn’t understand English. But when I went to America, I was really looking forward to having a nice easy holiday without any language problems.

Having a great collection of books at home doesn’t really mean that you are a person who loves reading. It may be got from your father or your father’s father, and it can just impress people around you with the fact that you are a person of culture.
From my point of view, reading is very important in our daily life. For example, reading is a way of gaining knowledge in different areas. It can help us have a great imagination, and it makes things easier when it comes to making compositions on different themes. It gives you the possibility to speak about science, even if you don’t work in this field. You can express your opinions about a political event because you have read something about that.
Secondly, reading gives us the possibility to enter the world of imagination. We can imagine what life will be like in the future. Sometimes, we compare ourselves with the people in the stories we read and they can give us some clues to solve the problems and tell us what to do in certain situations. Books are based on real life. Even if writers are considered to be somehow different from common people, they often face the same problems as we all do.
In short, I would like to say that literature is the perfect way of enriching our culture, expressing correctly, having a rich vocabulary, being able to understand different fields and really being considered to be a learned person.

镇江一中学习体会 沈健 江苏省镇江第一中学位于镇江城东古运河畔，占地350亩，新校园依山傍水，布局合理，美轮美奂。园内芳草吐绿，方塘云影，曲桥幽境，无限风光，素有城市山林学校之美誉。教学楼、实验楼、艺术楼、图书馆、田径场、篮球场、等错落有致，现代教育设施一应俱全，学校名师辈出，桃李遍布天下，是一所声誉远播、省内一流的江南名校。 学校勇立教育改革的潮头，1984年即成为省教改试点学校，现为省实施新课程样本学校。学校始终把新课改作为提升学校内涵，实现“学生个性化培养，教师个性化教学，学校个性化发展”的新平台，坚持“课题研究引领课程改革”的策略，取得了可喜成效。起步于1999年的“综合实践活动课程的研究与实验”，形成了“人本、多元、开放、互动”的研究性学习的“镇江一中模式”，在全省推广，学校被命名为苏南片综合实践活动师训基地。学校坚持“由问题到课题，由课题到课程”的校本课程开发思路，形成了“社会生活、科学技术、体育艺术、探究实验、语言文学”五大模块，98个专题的校本课程，得到了“教育部第一期全国普通高中新课程实验省（区）校长研修班”领导和专家的高度评价。学校积极推进“问题导学”的课堂教学模式的研究与实践，构建新课程背景下新的课堂文化和课堂结构，提升师生的生命活动质量，推动教师的教学方式、学生的学习方式和师生互动方式的根本变革，为师生共同成长搭建起新的台阶。 细想镇江一中的的成功之处，令人感慨万分，我也有了更多感悟。结合我校现状，我有几点不成熟的想法，现提出来望校领导给以指正。
1.形成一套有用且有效的学案。做法：⑴.把我校教科处现有的学案拿出来，按学科分发到教师手中；⑵.各学科教研组按教学进度讨论下一周教学内容，并把学案制作任务分发到教师手中；⑶. 各学科制作学案的教师认真思考现有学案内容是否符合课程进度（一节课一学案），学案中的题目是否符合教学内容以及我们应放什么样的题目作为课后练习题目，形成定稿后拿到学科组中进行讨论修改，然后发到学科组其他教师手中；⑷.下一周教研组活动中再讨论上一周学案是否需要修改，然后由教研组长把定稿学案上传到教科处以备下一届使用。 2.晚自习时间进行适当调整，如把现有的两段晚自习分成三段，如第一段7:30—8:20、第二段8:30—9:20、第三段9:30—10:20。高一、二年级音乐、艺术特长生辅导放在第二段及第三段晚自习进行，其他班级第三段晚自习必须留给学生作为自主学习时间。 3.进一步规范年级月考制度及成绩分析体系，高一、二年级月考应按单人单桌模式严格进行，并且阅卷尽可能使用阅卷系统，考后有年级组内的成绩分析会和教研组内的成绩分析会。 4.增加值日教师数量进一步加强学生的养成习惯教育。如把全校教师（身体特殊的教师和岗位特殊的教师除外）分成几个大组，每个大组下又分成几个小组，对学生的养成习惯进行严格管理。 参观镇江一中回来我一直心潮难平，反复思索，深感教育改革路修远漫长,我们应该结合实际，虚心学习，要学其精髓，把握内涵，使我们的课堂成为活动的课堂、精彩的课堂、自由的课堂，使我们的校园成为美丽的校园、快乐的校园、和谐的校园。
