5.借书。男生要完成PAPER，PROFESSOR给他推荐了一本书，没有这本书就完不成作业，但是这个教授同时给另外一个学生推荐了同样一本书，而且人家已经把书先借了去。男生的时间很赶啊，怎么办？女生说，1，你可以买一本新的。在其他可上也能用的到，但是男生认为太贵了，虽然在网上有卖的，但要付额外的运费。2，跟那个学生说一下，一起看吧。男生说，他问过了，人家说等她（是个女学生）写完就给男生，可是她却不知道自己啥时候写完。
6.介绍了两个方法processes：
（1）.sub什么什么的，就是从材料上cut掉东西，直到想要的形状，可是一旦cut坏了就不能该，little changes
（2）.additive，就是把不同的材料添加上去，直到满意，坏了可以修改

第三篇讲新生要不要按照兴趣分类，这里我貌似只听出两个点，所以悲剧了，就是女生不同意，说他跟他室友也不同爱好，但是相处愉快啊之类的。。。然后中间一篇记不清楚了，
倒数第二个是要你复述出教授举例解释纠结情绪的例子，大体就是他一个朋友当的老师，很辛苦，需要花大量的时间在论文，教学之类的事情上面，但是也很快乐。比较清楚的是最后一个，介绍雕塑的两种方式，一种是减，一种是加，复述出两种的特点就好，大体是减的那种不可以犯错，但是加的那种不喜欢了可以搞掉重来，
最后的举例是一个雕塑，你如果用加的方式，但是不喜欢他的鼻子，大可以拿掉再做一个，直到你喜欢为止。

6.生物课。教授讨论动物生存的方式。动物会利用毒素来生存。一种方式以蛇为例，会用毒素扑食猎物，如兔子来获取食物；另一种是以蜜蜂为例，利用毒素攻击捕食者，吓退捕食者并保护其他个体。

【教授举例】：教授举了一个例子：找一组人officers，告诉他们要做更多的工作，让他们更卖力。但实际上工作量不变，结果那些人都以为自己做了更多的工作。
待证实：药物的心理效果。教授举例说公司有职员感觉工作压力大,然后给他们一种药,让他们觉得是种可以提高精力的维生素,实际就是一般的药片,效果是大家的工作量都上升了。

【学生困难】：女生要在校报发表一篇paper，但文章写得too long to publish。
【解决方案】：男编辑给他两个方案：方案1、删掉一半cut off the paper/make it shorter就能立即出版。但女生觉得每个部分都很重要，不愿意cut，要弄短就只能Summarize了。方案2、到暑期版summer issue 上发表publish。女生不太愿意，因为暑假大家都放假了，没人看得到。

3.学生来信建议theater department pay assistents and give them specific trainings,以提高效率。听力很奇怪，是反对前者，同意后者。
学生写信说要pay assistant，对话里男的说同意：1，因为如果不给钱，学生还要做别的工作赚钱 2.现在的assistant job越来越复杂，而且train对equipment有好处
4.exposure behavior，人们不敢做某些事因为怕负面结果，但是如果鼓励他去做他认识到没有害处后就敢去做了。lecture，举的他孩子，刚搬到洛杉矶，不敢和邻居家的小孩讲话。于是他鼓励他去打招呼，打了招呼后relax,又鼓励说别的小孩的自行车beautiful,说了就gain confidence,要求要出去和别的小孩玩。最后交了好多朋友。
学术名称我忘了，是说鼓励儿童反复做他们害怕的事，然后建立自信，最终克服恐惧。听力中教授用它自己儿子Tommy的例子，说他们家搬到LA,Tommy原来不敢和新小朋友玩，只敢趴窗上看，后来叫兽借买冰淇凌之机鼓励他向小朋友们问好，回来又问一次（两次间儿子表现已有所不同），回来后儿子甚至主动要求出去和他们一起骑车，最终，Tommy和其他小朋友过上了幸福的日子。
5.一女子上陶艺课，结果作业在deadline两天前被她摔成3瓣了，她觉得（1）glue the pieces粘起来，但怕老师发现，因为她不想得普通的分数（也可能是ask for an extension,pardon moi）（2）重做.make a new one但是她怕来不及，而且别的课要期末考试。

第二种，是外部方法。就是在投资购买相似的企业。购买相似企业的同时，还会得到企业的客户，这就是公司能够增长的关键。还是以Wilson为例。Wilson并购了周围很多的超市，同时也得到了超市的顾客。顾客一般不会因为超市变了名字就不去了。因此，用这种并购相似企业的方法，Wilson得到了很多原来超市的客户，使公司得以成长。
