四、注意事项:

《大学英语B》统考应试指导

一、分析考试

任何考试都有自身特点,考试前要求必须彻底了解考试的基本信息:包括考核目的、词汇量、题型设置、题量、考试时间以及形式等基本信息。做到这一点是非常容易的,即熟读考试大纲。

二、分析自己

掌握了考试的基本信息后,需要对自己做一个认真的分析。分析自己与考试的差距,了解自己的薄弱点。建议用两套近两年的真题,严格按照考试的要求,对自己进行模拟测试,然后评分,计算出每个题型的得分比例,并从低到高进行排序,排在前面且得分比例低于50%的题目一定是自己最薄弱的环节。针对这些薄弱环节我们需要进行专项练习,逐个突破。

如果两个题目得分接近,那么本身分值大的题目或者对自己而言相对容易的题目可以放在前面,先进行练习和提高。

三、寻找复习资料

在前面两项工作完成后,需要开始寻找复习资料,这个环节也是非常重要的,它有着事

半功倍的效果。在大多数的英语考试中首推的复习资料就是历年试题,其次是考试委员会指定的考试用书,最后是受到大家公认的模拟试题和专项练习书籍,这类书籍往往由一些著名的考试专家编写或者由著名的大学和语言培训机构出版。

四、制定计划,贵在坚持

接下来需要结合自己的实际情况,制定一个详细的学习计划。英语学习切忌一时心血来潮、恶补几日,然后三天打鱼、两天晒网。一定要记住:每天学习1小时,坚持60天的效果比每天学习6小时,但只学10天的效果要好很多。

五、逐个突破

根据第二步的排序,需要对得分50%以下的薄弱环节进行专项练习,逐个突破。练习过程中练习量不是最重要的,关键是要随时进行总结。例如:解决生词问题、找出正确答案并解释原因、记忆知识点以及同类题目的解题技巧等等。当每个部分的得分明显提高,至少达到并稳定在60%以上,方可进入下一个阶段的复习工作。

六、考前综合性强化训练

考前综合性强化训练一般放在自己的薄弱点基本突破后正式考试前1个月左右进行。此时建议针对历年试题进行强化训练,如果历年试题量不够可以使用与正式考试难度相近、题型一致的模拟试题。在强化训练的时候,要注意以下三个问题:一是严格控制时间,不得超过正式考试的时间,各部分试题答题时间要基本稳定;二是精神高度集中,就像参加正式考试一样,切忌一边做题一边翻答案、查阅资料和字典;三是重视训练后的总结,做完题后,要认真给自己评分并进行总结,然后根据答题的具体情况再进行有的放矢的复习。

七、历年试题分析

前面说到,考试是有规律可循的,考核重点一般是不会发生变化的,有的考试甚至出现题目重复的情况,正所谓万变不离其宗。因此,在进行真题练习的时候,要对考核的知识点进行总结,这个环节是非常必要的。例如:语法点的总结、高频词的总结、阅读文章题材以及题目类型的总结、作文题目归类、翻译句型的总结等等。如果掌握了各种题型的考核重点,就等于拨开了重重迷雾,直奔目标了。

英语学习是一个螺旋式上升的渐进过程,不可能是直线上升的。因此,在很长的时间里,你感觉到的往往是艰辛的付出却没有收获的喜悦,此时唯一能做的就只有:坚持、坚持、再坚持。

写作在英语学习中是培养和提高语言能力的有效手段,它有助于巩固和掌握所学词汇、语法等语言知识,有助于训练直接用所学语言进行思维,有利于提高驾驭语言的能力。那么该如何写好英语作文呢?

●写作步骤

要写好一篇英语作文,掌握一定的写作技巧,应把握以下几个步骤:

1.认真审题立意,定文章之灵魂,对命题作文必须认真审题,对自由作文必须

立好意。文章要有明确的主题,必须具备4个条件:准确、鲜明、深刻、集中。2.草拟提纲,打造文章之骨架审好题,立好意后,就要写提纲,打造文章的骨

架。文章布局要做好3件事:安排好层次段落,铺设好过渡,处理好开头和结尾。如命题作文中有提示句,还要从提示句的关键词出发,围绕关键词开拓思路,发挥联想,记录下联想到的东西,可以是句子或单词词组,可以是英语或汉语。以“The English Teacher I Admire Most”为例,提纲可以这样写:1)Who is the English teacher I admire most,2)My reasons,3)What can I learn from the teacher

3.写出段落主题句,理文章之脉络。一篇短文的段落一般分为引导段、主题段和结尾段。每段的主题句非常重要,是作者思维的起点,切题的准绳,阐述的对象。看到段落主题句,读者大致了解段落要阐述的内容。段落主题句通常是一个语法结构完整、内容概括、用词简洁明了的单句。通常将段落主题句置于段落的开头,可使文章结构更清晰,有说服力。

4.参照提纲,紧扣主题句,完成各段落,充文章之血肉

有了段落主题句后,还需要顺着段落主题句的方向,参照提纲中的思路,从而完成各个段落。引导段要能引起读者的注意和兴趣,为主题段铺路架桥。主题段应围绕文章和该段的主题来展开。展开的方式包括:顺序法、举例法、比较法、对比法、说明法、因果法、推导法、归纳法,和下定义等。可以根据需要任选一种或几种方式。还是以“The English teacher I admire most”为例,主题段中就能用到举例法、说明法、因果法等。

进行这一步骤还需注意三方面问题:1)确保提纲中段落结构的思路与各段主题句的一致性。只有这样,才能保证所写段落不偏题,不跑题。2)要综合考虑各个段落的内容安排,避免段落内容的交叉。3)用好连接词,注意段落间、句子间的连贯性。要做到所写文章层次分明,思路清晰,文字连贯,就需要在句与句之间,段与段之间架起一座座桥梁,而连接词起的正是桥梁作用。

●增加文采小窍门

如果说第一、二步是对文章的构思,第三、四步骤则是真正地“写”了,用词是否贴切,文法是否正确,句式是否多变,文采是否有生气,关系到写作者的语言功底和水平,但也有些窍门,以下这几点可以供你参考。

1.在整篇文章中,避免只是用一两个句式,要灵活运用各种句式。如倒装句、强调句、省略句、主从复合句、对比句、分词短语、介词短语等。

2.使用不同长度的句子,通过分句和合句,增强句子的连贯性和表现力。

3.改变句子的开头方式,不要一味以主、谓、宾、状的次序。可以把状语置于句首,或用分词短语等。

4.学会使用过渡词。

如:1)递进:further more, moreover, besides, in addition, then,etc.

2)转折:however, but, nevertheless, after all,etc.

3)总结:finally, at last, in brief, to conclude

4)强调:really, indeed, certainly, surely, above all,etc.

5)对比:in the same way, just as, on the other hand, etc.

5.避免重复使用同一单词或词组。

6.注意运用固定词组、习语、谚语来代替一些词表达意思,以增加文采。

●把好检查最后一关

1.是否切题分三点看:一是整篇文章内容是否切合文章标题要求;二是段落主题句的内容是否与各段落提示句内容相一致;三是段落内部的内容是否与段落主题句的表达相一致。如果发现任何一个层面不切题,应该尽可能弥补,删除那些多余的或不切题的地方,但切忌动“大手术”。

2.是否连贯。检查上下文是否连贯,句子衔接是否自然流畅,检验的标准主要是句子是否通畅,该用连词的地方用了没有,所用的连词是否合适。

3.是否有语法错误。主谓是否一致,动词的时态、语态、语气的使用是否正确,词组的搭配是否合乎习惯。还是以“The English Teacher I admire most”为例,根据此标题,文章肯定用第一人称“I”写,一般性的描述用现在时,举过去的事例用过去时。

4.是否有大小写、拼写、标点错误,注意卷面整洁。要提高写作水平,最根本是要大量实践,必须多读多写,注意博览和精读相结合,甚至可以适当背诵一些名句名篇。另外,还可选些范文,悉心领悟,多加模仿,以逐步达到运用自如。

阅读的基本技巧

在我们的阅读量不断加大加深的同时,同学们可能经常感到拿到文章时无从下手,抓不到主题,尤其是遇到生词,细节也无从了解。因此老师将所总结的几点阅读基本技巧告诉大家,这是从宏观上理解一篇文章的很实用的几种方法。

阅读的基本技巧(Basic reading skills)

1.先看标题(heading),如果有副标题(sub-heading),尤其是每个小段落前面的小标题都要看,通过它们可以预测文章的主题和内容。大家可以试着读一些英文报纸,去看那些为了吸引你的注意力而变换了颜色或字体的标题,通常我们决定去

看哪一篇文章是通过标题的内容判断的,因为你的大脑自然会去预测文章的内容,并告诉自己是否对它感兴趣。

2.看插图,图表,照片(diagrams or pictures)等诸如此类。它们可以对文章内容做进一步解释,比如报纸上的照片和说明文中的图例或表格,图片的下面通常附有简短的文字,也要仔细看。

3.如果是较长的文章,第一段和最后一段可以先读,而且要读懂。因为通常它们是有总结概括性的,从中可以得出文章梗概(outline)。

4.同样的道理,对于一段文章,通常它的第一句和最后一句也一定要看懂。它们被叫做主题句(topic sentences),而其它扩充解释主题的句子叫做support sentences。我们可以看一下这篇文章:

Modern ideas are beginning to influence the Eskimos, but not enough to make much difference to their way of life. They still spend the winter in igloos, the round huts that are built of snow frozen hard. They still travel on sleds that are pulled by dogs. The winter is too cold for hunting, so during that season they live on the stores of seal meat that they have killed in the summer. But seal meat is not the only kind of food that they eat. In summer they hunt bears and reindeer, a type of deer with long branching horns that is used for its milk, meat and skin. They also fish all the year round. The Eskimos who are hunters in summer are fishermen in winter. In winter they make holes in the ice and catch their fish through the holes that they have made. The Eskimos are adaptable. That is why they are able to live in Arctic regions.

文章首句是讲现代思想正在开始影响爱司基摩人,但爱司基摩人的生活方式并没有因此有多大改变。段中开始讲述他们具体是怎样生活的,包括住所,交通方式,食物及其来源。段尾总结:爱司基摩人耐力很强,这就是他们能够生活在北极地区的原因。首尾句是典型的topic sentences, 段中的句子是support sentences, 文章结构一目了然。

5. 我们继续看这篇文章。结构清楚了,但大家会发现有一些十分生僻的单词还会影响我们的理解,这时我们还有一种方法叫做inference,这就是通过上下文来判断这个单词的含义。先看igloo这个单词,它的后面就是解释the round huts that are built of snow frozen hard用冻实的雪建成的圆形小屋,结合我们的背景知识,可以判断igloo为爱司基摩人住的雪屋。还有reindeer这个词,也可以通过同样的办法,它后面a type of deer with long branching horns that is used for its milk, meat and skin 一种鹿,长着长长的分叉的角,从它们身上得到奶,肉和皮毛。这就是驯鹿。大家试一试,判断一下文中sled这个词的意思。

词汇记忆方法汇编

英语词汇的记忆可以说是整个英语学习的基础,没有词汇量就不可能有高水平的外语能力,下面介绍一些个人的记忆方法:

各抒己见一

1 阅读记忆法也就是把词汇的记忆融入阅读之中,在看一篇文章的时候,遇到不认识的单词先做记号,并猜测它们的含义,等到把全文看完后再从字典上把它们的意思找出来。就自我感觉来说,这种方法不枯燥,记得比较牢,但缺点是记忆的词汇量比较少,而且耗时也比较长,不适合想求速成的同学。

2 笔记记忆法我的灵感来源于一篇文章,说某君从不背书,只抄书,每一本书都被他抄了几遍,这样最后全数的内容都印在了他的脑海中。这大概是书上的铅字经自己用笔抄下来后,好象就成了自己的东西,对自己就没有排斥反应了。我的具体做法是找一本笔记本,把它的一页按中间对折,然后从字典上把英汉意思抄上去,英语单词或词组抄在左边,汉语意思抄在右边。然后对所有的词汇背三遍,先英汉对照背一遍,然后分别只看英文或只看汉语解释背一遍(把页面折起来,使自己看不到英文或中文部分,以免受干扰)。这种方法记忆的量大而且比较牢靠,只是需要不怕累的人才能做到。

3 间隔反复记忆法曾经有这样一个例子:如果你盯着一个人连续看三个小时,但以后再也看不到他了,那么也许一两个月后你就把他的长相给忘了,但是如果你把这三个小时分配到许多天中,每天只看那个人一两分钟,这样下去,你就一辈子都不会忘记他的长相。我的方法就是根据这得出的。我的做法就是先规定自己一天背的词汇的数量,然后在一天中每隔一段时间把这些词汇通背一遍,相隔的时间不宜太短,以2-3小时为宜,早上背一遍,中午背一遍,下午背一遍,晚上再背一遍或两遍。隔几天后再把这些背过一遍。如此循环下去,会收到很好的记忆效果。这种方法适合于时间比较充沛,可以专门用一段时间来学英语的人。它的特点是可以在短期内记到大量的单词,而且可以记得较牢,它的缺点就是非常枯燥,要有毅力的人才能坚持背下去。

各抒己见二

1.'联' 即联想记忆法。看到某个单词,应该回想一下,有没有和自己以前记忆的单词在形或意思方面的近似。譬如,遇到consult,就应该想到和外形差不多的单词,如result ,insult等,这样就会记忆一个单词的同时又复习了其它的单词,而且不致于混淆。再如,学习fetch的时候,就应该想到它和take ,bring ,carry 等单词在用法上的区别。当然,很简单的单词(已经掌握的)就不必如此,因人而异。

2.“勤”即勤于查词典。遇到不会的单词先猜,猜不出再查,不要一遇到就查,这样不利于自己记忆的(所谓不经过努力得到的是不会珍惜的)。查的过程中,

切忌仅仅限于所查的单词。譬如在查respect的时候,就应该做到“一目十行”。此时一定要勤。也就是在查该单词的时候,应该注意它的前后几个单词。因为它的前后几个往往就是它的派生词或形近词,这样差一个就能记住好几个,做到事半功倍。如,respectable,respectant,respect-er,respective,respectful等就在respect 的上下。以上两点就是本人记忆单词中用的最多的,想必大家都注意过。

各抒己见三

我虽然背的不多,但也有一点自己的体会.我认为生词记忆的量以每天50-100词为宜,即使你有很多时间,也不要一天背太多,以免互相干扰.在背词汇表的时候,通常里面有不少词你已经掌握了,可以掠过去不看;对于那些生词,可以采取以下策略.以四个为一组,对于连续的四个生词反复多次进行记忆,直到你在遮住右半边只看英文的情况下能够立即说出其对应的中文含义.然后再被下面四个生词.当背了5组(20个词)后,再从头把这20个词检查一遍,对于那些记不住的词,再在纸上抄几遍,以加强记忆.第二天,在开始背下一部分之前,同样应该把前一天背的部分快速的检查一遍,有生疏的要抓紧处理,不要拖延过长时间. 另外,强烈反对使用软件背单词,传统的学习方法效果其实是相当好的。

各抒己见四

我背的是最简单的词汇书,只有单词,英标, 不超过5个的解释;我把一个新单词认清它的读音后,偶尔在草稿纸上抄2-3遍,在心里默诵它的意思,约30s.然后背下一个词.把一张纸都背完后,我用一张小磁卡遮住中文只看英文,再遮住英文只看中文.每天约100个单词。

各抒己见五

考六级的前三个月,我每天都有做题目,一天做一篇阅读理解,还有30个单项选择,这样做下来,我把不会的单词用一张纸记下来,一天大概可以记一张纸的单词,在纸上写上日期,贴在墙上,没事的时候就背!一天也能完成30几个的单词记忆.然后一天一天的记新单词,再复习以前记过的,当然不是记下所有的,而是记出现频率比较高的单词。

总结:

1.不要用太厚的单词书。

2.循始渐进的背单词。

3.要及时复习。

4.随身带着你要背的单词书,学累了就看单词。

5.背的时候,不要记单词的用法,光记释义,且不要记太多,一个两个就足够了。6,要有紧迫感,比如说,一定要在某某天之前背完。
