“英语写作基础”课程教学大纲

(2005 年)

一、教学对象

本课程的教学对象是普通英语专业二年级学生或具有同等水平的学者。

二、教学目的与要求

通过一个学期的学习,学生能写一?般叙述文、描写文、应用文(如通知、便条、书信等)以及介绍我国某一方面情况或阐明某一问题的说明文。要求内容符

合客观实际,能阐明问题实质;文章层次清楚,叙述有条理;语言无重大语法错误;抄写、标点符号的使用和格式准确,用词基本得体。

三、教学安排

本课程全部为面授课,共36学时,课堂教学以写作实践为主,理论讲解为辅, 除教材上的练习外,可结合教学内容增加一些课外练习题。具体教学安排如下: 第一?周词语的使用(2学时,下同)

在教学过程

教师可根据实际情况对教学内容作一些灵活安排。

中,

四、教学过程中应注意的若干问题

1.写作的重点是应用文(通知、布告、简历、便条、书信等)和说明文(实例、分类比较对照、因果关系和定义)。教学从注重文字的思想内容、组织结构

和语言表达入手,逐步要求行文正确、得体与流畅。

2.自学时间较多的学生可适当延长学习描写文和叙述文的时间。

3.写作水平较差的学生可以多做和“段落”一章中相同的练习,然后过度到短文写作。

4.写作水平较高的学生可自学议论文部分,并在语言正确的基础上自学教材

中的其他教学内容。

5.写作课除讲授外,还应该加强作业的批改、讲评以及学生的个别指导,有

条件的地方还应加强辅导老师的力量。

6.36个学时的课堂教学远远不能满足培养学生写作能力的要求,因此要特别

强调学生在课下多做练习,打好写作基本功。

五、评估与测试

1.评估形式

命题写作可测试学生多方面的能力。命题可以给出具体的内容与要求(如以便条或书县形式通知某人某事,也可以只出题,但题目必须是学生了解和熟悉的。

2.评估要求及平分标准

(1)思想内容符合客观实际。叙述文、描写文的细节选择得当,能说明问题实质;说明文观点清楚,并有充分例证说明论点。

(2)组织结构严谨,层次清楚,叙述有条理,说理合乎逻辑,段落之间联系自然,句子连贯。

(3)语言正确得体,无重大语法错误(如句子基本结构的错误,主语与动词在单、复数上不一致等等),拼写、标点符号的使用和格式正确,用词确切、恰当。

本课程教学重点是:一、教程的第五章“短文的写作” (Composing Essays);二、“应用文的写作(Writing for Practical Purposes)□短文的写作主要注意记叙文和说明文的写作方法;应用文的写作包括通知、便条、信函、简历等,其中通知、便条的格式比较特殊,需要注意。

考试要求:本课程依据教学大纲的要求,重点考察应用文写作和一?般文体的

写作;考试为闭卷考试,总分为为100分。
