Since 1946, computers have changed our lives and our ideas. The computer is useful to us. First, it can store a lot of information. Second, a computer can work very quickly--thousands of times faster than human and it won’t be tired. Third, modern computers can be built into other kinds of machines, like radios, cars and planes. They can do a lot of work for us. Everyone, either at home or at work, uses some kinds of computers. The lives of all of us have been changed by this invention.
It is common knowledge that computers have changed our life. Before computers were widely used, I had to go to the library far away from my home to find information if I needed some. It was a waste of time. Then nowadays, it’s convenien t to surf the Internet to find something I need by using the computer. Computers can also help us process difficult problems quickly. These changes are so great that they make our life more comfortable and colourful.

It was the darkest time in my life when I was told I had failed in an English exam. I felt terribly sad, but at the same time, I decided to study as hard as possible.
