为适应我国高等教育发展的新形势,深化教育教学改革,提高教学质量,满足新时期国家和社会对人才培养的新要求,教育部高等教育司于2004年1

月颁布了指导高等院校大学英语课程敦学的纲领性文件《大学英语课程教学

要求(试行)》(以下简称《教学要求》),作为大学英语教学改革一个组

成部分,大学英语四、六级考试改革也正在稳步推进。这次大学英语四,六

级考试改革的目的是更加全面地测量大学生英语综合应用能力,为新的《教

学要求》的贯彻执行情况提供一个准确的评估依据,以适应我国大学英语课

程教学的需要。

2004年在教育部高教司领导下,成立了大学英语四六级考试改革项目组,该项组和全国大学英语四、六级考试委员会广泛听取了大学英语教师和学生

的意见,经过反复研讨和论证,制定了四、六级考试改革方案,2005年6月四、六级考试开始采用新的计分体制和成绩报道方式,同年9月和2006年3

月项目组和考试委员会分别公布了改革后四级和六级考试的样题,2006年6

月和12月又分别进行了全国范围的四级和六级考试试点,并在此基础上完

成了对大学英语四级和六级考试大纲的修订。

公布《大学英语六级考试大纲(2006英语网)》的目的是使广大师生了解

改革后六级考试的考试目的、考试内容、考试形式、考核的语言技能与要求,以及新的成绩报道体系和分数解释。

在试卷构成上,对六级考试进行的改革主要体现在以下方面:

一、听力理解部分的分值比例从原来的20%提高至35%:增加了长对话

听力理解测试,复合式听写由原来的备选题型改为必考题型。

二、阅读理解部分增加了快速阅读技能测试。

三、词汇和语法知识不再单独列为考项,而融入了其他各部分试题中进

行考核。

四、增加了句子层面的汉译英测试。

五、增加了构建型试题的比例,减少了多项选择题的比例。

根据考试改革进程的要求,2007年6月将全面实施改革后的六级考试,

鉴于口语能力在国际交流中的重要性,考试委员会正在现行的大学英语四、

六级口语考试(CET-SET)的基础上积极研究开发适用于大规模实施的口语

考试的新形。

大学英语四、六级考试的改革是一项复杂的系统工程,也是一个不断完

善的过程。考试委员会将不断研究和开发既能检测大学生英语综合应用能力,

英语六级笔试在每年6月和12月各一次,口试在笔试前进行,每年5月和11月各一次.

笔试时间为每年6月和12月的第三个周六。时间安排如下:

14:50--15:00试音寻台时间

15:00--15:10播放考场指令,发放作文考卷

15:10取下耳机,开始作文考试

15:35发放含有快速阅读的试题册(但15:40才允许开始做)

15:40--15:55做快速阅读部分

15:55--16:00收答题卡一(即作文和快速阅读)

15:55--16:00重新戴上耳机,试音寻台,准备听力考试

16:00开始听力考试,电台开始放音

听力结束后完成剩余考项。

17:20全部考试结束

Part I Writing(30 minutes)

能在阅读难度与课文相仿的书面材料时做笔记,回答问题,写提纲和摘要,能就一定的话题、提纲、表格或图示在半小时内写出150—180词的短文,能写日常应用文(如信函、简历等),内容完整,条理清楚,文理通顺。

近几年一般为观点性命题:正方观点、反方观点、你认为...。

Part II Reading Comprehension(Skimming and Scanning)(15 minutes)

从2007年12月和2008年6月的六级试卷来看,题目按如下方式设定:1-7题为多项选择,8-10题为句子填空。

Part III Listening Comprehension(35 minutes)

Section A

1、短对话,共8段对话,分布在11-18题。每段对话后有1个小题,

朗读者将给出问题,每题有4个选项,每小题之间的时间间隔为13秒钟。

对话读一遍。

2、长对话,共2段对话,分布在19-25题。每段对话后有3-4个小题,朗读者将给出问题,每题有4个选项,每小题之间的时间间隔为13秒钟。

对话读一遍。

Section B

短文理解,共3段独白,分布在26-35题。每段短文后有3-4个小题,

朗读者将给出问题,每题有4个选项,每小题之间的时间间隔为13秒钟。

独白读一遍。

Section C

复合式听写,共1段独白,分布在36-46题。其中36-43题为填写原文

单词,44-46题用自己的语言或原文填写句子。独白读三遍,第1遍以正常

语速朗读,要求考生听懂全文内容,抓住主旨大意,空格部分没有停顿。第

2遍独白朗读时,在后三个需要填写足迹的空格处有25秒钟的停顿时间,由

考生来完成所缺句子。第3遍朗读无停顿,供考生核对。

Part IV Reading Comprehension(Reading in Depth)(25 minutes)

共三篇文章,阅读语言难度较高题材文章时,速度达到每分钟70词,

理解准确率达到70%;在阅读难度略低、生词总数不超过总词数3%的材料时,阅读速度达到每分钟120词。

Part V Cloze or Error Correction(15 minutes)

Part VI Translation(5 minutes)

共5小题,每小题中空白部分给出中文意思,然后将整个句子用英文补

充完整,要求没有单词拼写、语法、时态等错误。

Part VII Oral English Test(另行考试)

英语六级笔试成绩在520分以上可以申请参加口语考试。

听力

听力的提高是靠长期的努力,在这里不再罗索了。因为这个时间是规定的,所以没什么时间浪费。只要在听的过程中利用自己技巧就可以了。

阅读

这是要靠平时积累的,词汇量加平时阅读输入量。平时练多了自然有感觉。但注意的是,我们平时练只是做做题,对对答案就完事了,千万别忘了

还要认真总结。但这还是远远不够的。要平时就要有时间的紧迫感,当然没

必要一定要像考试那样定准35分钟,只是大概的,不超过太多就行了。考

试时超过的那些就要从词汇那里弥补了。

这里也像阅读一样,平时多定时练习,扩充词汇量,到最后肯定会有效

果的。

作文

其实很多人在忽略这个模块。就拿江苏省来说,全省作文平均只有4点

多分,全国及格率也很低。30分钟内写出好文章不是那么容易的事情。平时

没写过作文的就更不用说了。结果就会用高中时学的那些简单句型(there be,主系表结构等),作文也很难拿到理想的分数。作文至少要考前一个月开

始练。用写作模板开始练是一个很好的办法。背范文也行,但关键是把范文弄成自己的,一定要动手,写或抄。但现在很多书上的范文都是经过专业老师的不断推敲来写的,我们很难在考场上写出那么漂亮的范文。所以一定要改写范文,改成自己的。重点放在它的结构和亮点句子上。考前一定要写或抄至少5篇以上的作文,这样到考场才会有感觉,写作也流畅多了。

进行快速阅读的必要条件

进行英语快速阅读的必要条件是:基本知识、语言基础、阅读技能、快速阅读不是一种孤立的能力,它必须以了解一定的基本知识为先决条件,以具备一定的词汇和基本语法为基础,还要掌握一些重要的阅读技能。如果没有语言基础,阅读材料通篇都是生词,语法难点很多,即使掌握了一些快速阅读的技能,要快也快不了。反之,如果只有语言基础知识,而没有阅读技能,要想读得快,读得多,也是不可能的。但是,如果对材料的内容缺乏基本常识,即使语言基础好,并具备阅读技能,也不可能“快读”,只能“慢读”。

基本知识主要是指的是所涉及英语的专业知识,没有一定的专业知识,要想把内容理解透是有相当大的难度的。

语言基础知识主要指词汇量和句型结构。要有一定的词汇量。这包括两部分,一是公共部分,二是专业部分。我认为公共英语部分至少要达到4,000个单词量,而专业部分最好要有1,500个词汇量。要有一定的句型分析能力。英语文章最大的语法难点是句型,句型中的难点是定语从句。一个句子很长,往往是由于定语从句连环套在作怪,定语中套着定语。这样的连环从句表达专业概念非常严谨,却给我们阅读带来困难。因此,我们要能够进行层次分析,准确把握各从句之间的关系,才能提高阅读速度。同时,要了解词性的变化,名词的动用和动词的名用。至于时态等其它的语法现象对我们具备一定语法知识的参试人员来说,基本上构不成多大障碍。

快速阅读的方法

1.推测(prediction)

阅读正文前,就标题(如果有标题的话)来合理推测资料的大概内容,也可在读了二、三段之后预测下段内容。这对快速理解和整体把握文章内容以及推测出生词的词义范围有积极的意义。因为英语单词一词多义现象太普

遍了,一个单词在不同的专业领域往往含有不同的意思,甚至有的单词在同

一专业领域在其意义的具体把握上也有细微的差别。

2.关键词句(key?word?andtopic?sentences)

在对文章的整体内容有了基本认识的基础上,我们学会抓主要的词句,

找出段落中的主题句,从而正确领会文章的主要内容,并注意到是否对自己

有利用价值。

3.略读或浏览或跳读(Skimming)

Skim有掠过的意思,又有从牛奶等液体上撇去的意思,转意为“快速掠过,从中提取最容易取得的精华”。用于阅读,或译为略读,或译为泛读,

似乎都未把其细微的意思译出。而这种读法却包含有原词的所有意思——快

速读过去,取出读物中关键性的东西。因此,我们可以把这种读法理解为快

速浏览课文,领会文章大意。一般而言,通过标题可知道文章的主题。对文

章的首段和末段要多加注意,以便发现作者的观点。

4.查阅(Scanning)

Scaning的意思是扫读或查阅,是快读或速读的一种。Scan就是通常所

说的“扫描”。其特点是快,但又要全部扫及。en211 这个词词义似乎矛盾,它既可以理解为“仔细地审视”,也可以理解为“粗略地浏览”。这种情

况倒成了扫读的绝好证明。从形式上看,扫读是粗粗地一扫而过,一目十行,但从读者的注意方面来看,却又是高度的集中,在快速阅读中仔细挑出重要

的信息。因此,查阅可以理解为迅速找出文章中的有关事实细节或某一具体

信息;有时要找出某一个单词或词组,如人名、地名、日期、价格等;有时

要找出文中所述的某一特殊事件,而这一事件可能是由一个词或短语交代的。若不具备一定的能力,这样的细节恐不易发现。

5.速度变换(Readingrate)

我们要意识到阅读的速度是不均匀的。也就是说,即使同一个人阅读同

一份材料,但由于阅读是一种有相当心理负荷的脑力劳动,因此在开始、中

途和结束时的速度不可能一样。读物的体裁和难度不一样,阅读的速度也不同。我们不要过分焦虑自己的阅读速度,以免造成不必要的心理压力。随着

速度的提高,理解的程度都有所降低,所以我们应认识到阅读文章时的速度

是可以调节的,只有合适的速度才可能获得快速准确的阅读效率。

6.阅读习惯(ReadingHabit)

从主观上要能克服注意力容易分散即所谓“思想开小差”的毛病,高度

集中自己的注意力;从客观上克服各种无意中形成或由来以久的坏习惯,如

摇头晃脑,抖动双腿,玩弄纸笔,念念有词等。这些“小动作”,也会分散

注意力、影响思考,降低阅读速度。

报考条件

2007年1月起,六级考试将不再接受非在校生报名。目前毕业两年内仍

需参加四六级考试的本科毕业生,可在原高校报考。符合大学英语六级考

试报名条件的人员包括:全日制普通高校专科、本科和研究生中的在校生;

另外,本校已设六级考点,原则上不得跨校考试。大学英语六级考试报名中,要求考生出示英语四级考试合格证,否则不能报考。

考试时间:2012年英语四六级考试时间暂定为:上半年2012年6月16日,下半年考试时间2012年12月15日或22日.
