IV. Detail understanding and difficult sentences translation

1.Over time, my remaining hearing dropped to 20 percent, where it is today.

这里的drop to是“降至…”而非“下降了…”,因此,这句话的意思是:

Gradually I lost more of my hearing until I was 80 percent deaf, as I currently remain.

渐渐地,我剩下的听力降至百分之二十,也就是现在的情况。
